Are pxg irons worth the price. There is a good chance that you can walk out with a bill for 3000 for a set of these irons and heck if you buy a whole set of clubs youre looking at 5000. So is the price tag of around 400 per iron. Yes the new PXG 0311 GEN3 irons are expensive but theyre only 425 per iron.
But in the past couple of years they have dropped in price to be competitive with most major OEMs. Visually the irons are as stunning as it gets. A few things worth mentioning.
I know you always put the list price but if people are interested they should act fast. The distance I believe was because of the loft and the face design. PXGs clubs though are about more than the price tag or the perimeter weights that give them their signature look.
Worth is relative. Direct to consumer like hogan Maltby KZG will always be cheaper. I have not been able to get numbers off the launch monitor to verify that.
For those of us that cant afford throwing 5000 or so down on a set of irons these PXGs will be worth a try and right in the price point of AP2s and such. Distance for the PXG was about 5 yards better than my iron and the spin was great with the PXG. He put you into a great shaft.

The signature tungsten and titanium perimeter weights are gone. Bagging a new set isnt cheap but the experience of hitting them is very persuasive. So is the HYPE worth it.
